Connect CrowdPass with Twilio SMS
Send SMS confirmations and alerts from CrowdPass events via Twilio
Text messages have a 98% open rate. When someone registers, checks in, or scans their NFC badge at your event, Twilio delivers a personalized SMS within seconds. Use it for registration confirmations, check-in reminders, session alerts, and post-event follow-ups that actually get read.
Automations you can build
When someone registers for your event, they instantly receive a confirmation text with their ticket details, event date, venue address, and a link to their digital badge. No more "check your spam folder" support requests.
After NFC badge tap at the door, an SMS arrives with a welcome message, Wi-Fi credentials, the day's schedule link, and their personalized session recommendations. The attendee is oriented before they reach the registration desk.
After their badge is scanned at a booth, the attendee receives a text with the exhibitor's one-pager PDF link and a calendar link to book a follow-up demo. Exhibitors see higher conversion rates because the outreach happens while interest is fresh.
When an attendee submits a session feedback form or post-event survey, they receive a thank-you text with a discount code for next year's event. Delivery status tracking confirms the message landed.
How event teams use this
Day-of wayfinding via text
A medical conference sends SMS messages to each attendee as they check in via NFC. The text includes a deep link to an interactive venue map, their personalized schedule, and CME credit tracking instructions. Attendees save the text and reference it throughout the day.
Exhibitor lead follow-up in minutes
At a SaaS trade show, every NFC badge scan at a booth triggers an SMS to the scanned attendee with a link to the exhibitor's product demo video and a Calendly link. Exhibitors report 3x more booked demos compared to the manual business card approach.
Last-mile registration reminders
Three days before a sold-out gala, CrowdPass triggers a Twilio SMS to all registered attendees with parking instructions, dress code, and a QR code for expedited NFC badge pickup. No-show rates drop by 15% compared to email-only reminders.
