Connect CrowdPass to Salesforce
Turn every event interaction into a Salesforce Lead, Campaign Member, or Opportunity touchpoint
For organizations running on Salesforce, events are a top-of-funnel engine — but the data often arrives weeks late in a CSV that someone manually imports. Connecting CrowdPass to Salesforce via Zapier closes that gap: badge scans at your booth create Leads in real time, check-ins add Campaign Members to the event's Campaign, and ticket purchases create Opportunity line items. Your revenue ops team gets attribution data the moment it happens, pipeline reports reflect event-sourced deals before the conference even ends, and no one spends hours deduplicating a post-event import.
Automations you can build
Each badge scan at your booth creates a Salesforce Lead with company, title, email, and the event name as Lead Source. Salesforce assignment rules route the lead to the right rep instantly. If the person already exists as a Contact, use a Zapier filter to update the existing record instead, preserving account history.
Check-ins add attendees as Campaign Members with a status of "Attended." Your marketing ops team sees real-time attendance in Salesforce Campaign reports and can attribute pipeline generated from the event directly to the Campaign — the same way they track webinars and ad spend.
Paid ticket purchases create Opportunities tied to the event Campaign. The Opportunity amount matches the ticket price, and the stage is set to "Closed Won." Finance and RevOps teams see event revenue in the same pipeline dashboards they use for all other revenue streams, with no manual reconciliation.
When an existing Salesforce Lead registers for your event, their record is updated with custom fields: "Registered for [Event Name]," registration date, and ticket type. This gives SDRs fresh context for outreach — they know the prospect is engaged enough to register and can reference the upcoming event in their follow-up.
How event teams use this
Event-sourced pipeline attribution
A B2B SaaS company sponsors 20 conferences per year. At each event, booth staff scan attendee badges with CrowdPass. Each scan creates a Salesforce Lead with "Event - [Conference Name]" as the Lead Source and adds them to the event's Campaign. Six months later, when the CMO pulls a Campaign Influence report, she can show the board that 34% of closed-won pipeline touched at least one event. This data was impossible to produce when leads arrived in a CSV two weeks after the event.
Real-time lead routing from the expo floor
An enterprise sales team staffs a booth at a major trade show. When a badge is scanned, the Zap creates a Salesforce Lead and Salesforce assignment rules check the lead's territory, company size, and industry. Enterprise leads route to a named AE who receives a Salesforce mobile notification on the expo floor. The AE walks over to the booth within minutes for a warm handoff. Mid-market leads go to the SDR team for next-day follow-up. No leads fall through the cracks.
Post-event nurture with Campaign segmentation
After a user conference, the marketing ops manager builds a Salesforce report of Campaign Members with status "Attended" who are not yet Opportunities. This list feeds into a Pardot nurture sequence with content specific to the sessions they attended (captured via CrowdPass session check-ins). Attendees who visited three or more sessions are flagged as high-intent and routed to the SDR team. The entire workflow runs on data that arrived in Salesforce during the event — no post-event data processing delay.
