Connect CrowdPass to Mighty Networks
Bridge your live events and online community so members engage year-round, not just at the conference
The biggest challenge for event organizers is maintaining engagement between events. Mighty Networks solves this by providing a persistent community space where members interact year-round. Connecting CrowdPass to Mighty Networks means every event attendee is automatically added to your community, in-person session check-ins unlock course content within the network, and event participation history is visible in member profiles. The result is a flywheel: the community drives event attendance, the event deepens community bonds, and the data flows seamlessly between both.
Automations you can build
Event registrations create Mighty Networks member accounts and add them to the event-specific Space. New members immediately access pre-event discussion threads, the attendee directory, and any preparatory course content. By the time the event starts, they have already introduced themselves and connected with fellow attendees.
Session check-ins enroll the member in the corresponding Mighty Networks course within the community. Attendees who physically attended the workshop get access to the course recordings, supplementary materials, and discussion threads. Members who could not attend in person see the course listed but locked, creating an incentive to attend next time.
When a community member RSVPs to an event posted in Mighty Networks, a CrowdPass attendee record is created with their registration details. This syncs the online RSVP with the in-person check-in system so event staff have a unified attendee list regardless of whether someone registered through the website or the community platform.
Check-ins trigger an activity post in the event Space: "[Name] just checked in to [Session]." This creates live social proof visible to remote community members following along from home and gives on-site attendees a real-time feed of who is at the event, encouraging spontaneous meetups in the hallway.
How event teams use this
Year-round community engagement anchored by annual conference
A professional community of 5,000 members hosts an annual conference with 800 in-person attendees. All registrants are added to the conference Space in Mighty Networks via CrowdPass. Before the event, members vote on breakout topics and form interest-based sub-groups. During the event, check-ins unlock course content and trigger live activity posts. After the event, session recordings are released week by week inside the community, keeping engagement high for months. The community manager reports that post-conference engagement (comments, course completions, event RSVPs) is 3x higher than when content was distributed via email.
Hybrid event with community-powered networking
A tech community runs a hybrid conference with 500 in-person and 300 virtual attendees. All participants are in the same Mighty Networks Space. When in-person attendees check in via CrowdPass, their profile in the community is flagged as "On-Site" with a badge icon. Virtual attendees can see who is physically present and request in-person introductions through the app. Speakers post session takeaways in the Space immediately after their talks. The community becomes the shared layer that connects both audiences, and the in-person check-in data from CrowdPass powers the real-time presence feature.
