Connect CrowdPass with Ramp
Automate CrowdPass event spend tracking and receipt capture in Ramp
Ramp gives event teams granular spend controls with per-card limits and merchant restrictions. When CrowdPass event data flows into Ramp, every transaction is automatically coded to the right event budget, receipts are matched in real time, and finance gets a unified view of event spend alongside company-wide expenses without manual reconciliation.
Automations you can build
Ticket sales are tagged in Ramp with the event name, date, and ticket tier. Ramp's reporting engine groups all tagged transactions to show net ticket revenue per event, making it easy to compare performance across a series of events.
Registration fees and add-on purchases are annotated with attendee details in Ramp. Accounting teams see exactly which registrations drove which charges, eliminating the back-and-forth between events and finance during reconciliation.
Event staff photograph vendor receipts and submit them via CrowdPass forms. Ramp receives the receipt image, extracts the amount and vendor, and matches it to the open transaction on the team's Ramp card. Outstanding receipt alerts clear automatically.
Check-in counts feed into Ramp budget notes so finance can correlate per-head costs with actual attendance. If 2,000 people registered but only 1,400 checked in, the per-attendee catering cost recalculates based on real numbers rather than projections.
How event teams use this
Per-event card limits with real-time tracking
A corporate events team issues Ramp virtual cards with $25,000 limits for each CrowdPass event. As venue deposits, catering invoices, and AV rentals hit the card, Ramp shows remaining budget in real time. CrowdPass check-in data adds per-attendee cost annotations, and the events VP reviews spend-per-head before approving the next event budget.
Automated accounting sync for event invoices
A conference management company runs 30 events per year for different clients. Each event has its own Ramp budget tagged with the CrowdPass event ID. At month-end, Ramp syncs categorized event transactions directly to QuickBooks, and the accounting team produces client invoices in half the time.
Vendor receipt compliance for large events
A festival with 200 vendor transactions over a weekend uses CrowdPass forms for receipt capture. Each receipt flows to Ramp and is matched to the card transaction within minutes. The audit team confirms 98% receipt compliance without a single follow-up email to field staff.
