Connect CrowdPass with Mux
Power CrowdPass event video infrastructure with Mux via Zapier
Mux provides the video infrastructure layer that event platforms need for reliable, high-quality streaming and playback. When CrowdPass events go live, Mux handles adaptive bitrate streaming, real-time viewer analytics, and automatic quality optimization. Your engineering team gets API-level control while your operations team gets reliable video delivery — from a 50-person workshop stream to a 10,000-viewer keynote broadcast.
Automations you can build
When speakers submit session recordings through CrowdPass, Zapier creates a Mux asset from the video URL. Mux automatically generates adaptive bitrate renditions, thumbnails, and a playback ID ready for embedding in the attendee portal.
When event registration opens or a new session is created in CrowdPass, Zapier provisions a Mux live stream with a unique stream key and playback URL. The event team shares the stream key with the A/V crew and the playback URL routes to registered attendees.
After NFC check-in, Zapier generates a signed Mux playback token for the attendee, granting time-limited access to the event's live streams and on-demand library. Unauthorized viewers see an access denied screen — ensuring content stays behind the registration wall.
How event teams use this
Scalable hybrid event streaming
A global enterprise summit streams keynotes to 8,000 virtual attendees across 15 countries. CrowdPass handles registration and NFC check-in for in-person attendees, while Mux delivers adaptive bitrate streams that auto-adjust quality based on each viewer's connection speed. Mux's real-time analytics show the event team viewer count, buffering rates, and geographic distribution during the broadcast — enabling live troubleshooting of stream quality issues.
On-demand session library with analytics
After a 3-day developer conference, 120 session recordings are uploaded to CrowdPass. Zapier creates Mux assets for each video, generating adaptive renditions for mobile, tablet, and desktop. The attendee portal embeds Mux's player, and Mux's analytics API feeds view counts, average watch duration, and top-performing sessions back to the event team for speaker selection at next year's conference.
