Connect CrowdPass to RudderStack

Route event data through RudderStack transformations into your warehouse-first analytics stack

RudderStack is built for data teams that want full control over their customer data pipeline — open-source, warehouse-first, and transformation-friendly. In-person event data is one of the hardest signals to capture in a warehouse-first architecture because it originates outside the digital product. Connecting CrowdPass to RudderStack solves this: badge scans and check-ins stream into RudderStack as events, user transformations enrich and reshape the data to match your warehouse schema, and the events land in your data warehouse alongside product analytics, marketing data, and CRM records. No custom ETL pipelines, no CSV uploads, no data engineering tickets.

Automations you can build

TriggerAttendee checked in
ActionSend event to RudderStack

Check-ins send a Track event to RudderStack with properties for event name, session, venue, and check-in method (NFC tap, QR scan). RudderStack Transformations can enrich the event in-flight — appending company data from Clearbit, normalizing field names to match your warehouse conventions, or filtering out internal team members before the event reaches any destination.

TriggerNew attendee registration
ActionSend Identify event to RudderStack

Registrations send an Identify call to RudderStack with attendee traits. RudderStack's warehouse-first architecture syncs these traits directly to your Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift instance as a users table update. Your dbt models can immediately join event registration data with product usage and revenue tables without waiting for a separate data pipeline.

TriggerLead captured at booth
ActionSend event to RudderStack

Booth captures send a Track event that RudderStack routes to both your warehouse and your CRM simultaneously. A RudderStack Transformation can split the payload: the warehouse receives the full raw event with all metadata, while the CRM receives a cleaned-up version with only the fields that map to CRM lead properties. One source event, two optimized payloads.

How event teams use this

Analytics engineer

Warehouse-first event analytics with dbt models

A data team runs their analytics stack on BigQuery with dbt for transformations. CrowdPass event data flows through RudderStack into a raw "event_check_ins" table in BigQuery. The dbt model joins this table with the "product_usage" and "subscription_revenue" tables on user email. The resulting dashboard shows that customers who attended two or more in-person events have 60% higher annual contract value than those who attended zero. The VP of Marketing uses this data to triple the events budget. None of this required custom code — RudderStack delivered the data, dbt modeled it.

Data engineer

Custom transformations for event data normalization

A company hosts 50 events per year across different regions, each with slightly different CrowdPass field configurations. RudderStack User Transformations normalize the data: mapping "Session Name" from US events and "Workshop Title" from EU events to a unified "session_name" field, converting timestamps to UTC, and appending regional tags. The data team writes the transformation once, and every event's data arrives in the warehouse with a consistent schema. Downstream dbt models and Looker dashboards work without per-event customization.

Connect in 3 steps

No code required. Set up in under 5 minutes.

1

Log in to Zapier

Go to zapier.com and search for "CrowdPass" in the app directory. Connect your CrowdPass account using your API key from Settings > Integrations.

2

Choose your trigger

Select a CrowdPass trigger event: new registration, attendee check-in, NFC badge scan, lead capture, or form submission. Each trigger sends full attendee data.

3

Map your action

Choose the destination app and configure what happens. Map CrowdPass fields (name, email, ticket type, custom questions) to the app's fields. Test and activate.
