Connect CrowdPass to Coda
Build custom event operations tools inside a single Coda doc — no code required
Coda blurs the line between document and application. Instead of scattering event data across spreadsheets, dashboards, and project tools, you build one Coda doc that does it all — registration tables with action buttons, check-in dashboards with real-time charts, and follow-up task lists that assign themselves based on lead score. When CrowdPass data flows in via Zapier, it powers Coda's formulas, automations, and interactive controls. The result is a custom event operations app that your team builds and iterates on without writing code.
Automations you can build
Registrations populate a Coda table that drives the entire event doc. Coda's formula language lets you build calculated columns — days until event, registration velocity, ticket tier distribution charts — that update as each new row arrives. Add a button column to trigger follow-up actions like sending a welcome email via a connected Pack.
Check-ins update the attendee's row with arrival time and gate location. A Coda canvas section embeds a live chart of cumulative arrivals vs. target, and a conditional control surfaces a warning banner if the check-in rate falls behind pace. The ops team monitors this single page instead of toggling between tools.
Each lead capture adds a row to a Leads table. Coda's automation rules can immediately assign a follow-up owner based on the lead's industry or interest area, set a due date, and push a notification. The sales team works leads directly in the doc using button-driven status updates — "Emailed," "Meeting Set," "Closed."
How event teams use this
Custom event command center in one doc
An agency event producer manages boutique product launches. They build a single Coda doc that serves as the event command center: a registration table fed by CrowdPass, a check-in dashboard with live charts, a catering count section pulling from dietary requirement columns, and a post-event follow-up table with automation rules. On event day, the entire team works from this one doc on their phones. Buttons trigger actions — "Mark VIP Arrived" updates the table and sends a Slack ping to the host.
Lead scoring and routing without a CRM
A startup runs a developer conference and doesn't have a CRM yet. Lead captures from CrowdPass flow into a Coda table. The team builds a simple lead scoring formula based on job title, company size (enriched via a Clearbit Pack), and session attendance. A Coda automation assigns leads above a score threshold to the sales team and others to a nurture sequence. The entire pipeline — from badge scan to closed deal — lives in one doc that the three-person team can customize on the fly.
