Operation Back to School

In 2020 and 2021, Operation Back to School transitioned to a drive-thru style distribution at multiple school sites across the City for safety and access due to the COVID-19. In 2022, we moved back to the original site, Chandler High School, for the 9th Annual Operation Back to School Chandler event and it was a huge success!!

Thanks to the support of Chandler Public Safety, the overwhelming amount of traffic flowed smoothly and safely and everyone stayed hydrated in the hot July temperatures. More than 35 organizations including non-profits, businesses and faith organizations came together to distribute a record-breaking number of backpacks. Students from every CUSD school received a backpack at the event, and this year, students from Kyrene School District and Mesa Public Schools were also invited to attend.
